Pete Crow-Armstrong is one of the best young up and coming hitters in the 2020 draft class. He is a nice and strong with a good balanced swing that allows him to hit for power and average. He made Baseball America’s High School All-America Team this year, one of only 3 juniors to make it. He is the #1 ranked High School Player in the country according to MLB Pipeline, Baseball America, and ESPN.

#2 BLAZE JORDAN, 1B, HS- MISSISSIPPI

Blaze Jordan was supposed to be part of the 2021 draft class but he was able to become part of the 2020 draft class, making him one of the youngest players in the 2020 class. He has tremendous raw power that he displayed at the All-Star Game winning the Jr. Home Run Derby in Cleveland. He has drawn comparisons to Bryce Harper albeit from the right side of the plate. He is the #1 ranked high school position player according to Perfect Game, and he is the #2 ranked player overall according to both ESPN and Perfect Game. 

#3 DYLAN CREWS, OF, HS- FLORIDA

Dylan Crews is a nice right handed hitter who has the ability to hit for both power and average. He might not be as dynamic as Blaze Jordan or Pete Crow-Armstrong but he is definitely one of the top high school hitters in the 2020 class. He was one of the top 5 performers at this year’s first ever PDP League. Dylan Crews is among the top 3 position players in this years draft class according to Baseball America, MLB Pipeline, ESPN, and Perfect Game.

#4 MICK ABEL, RHP, HS- OREGON

PITCHER RANK: #2-NR-NR-#1-#1 

Mick Abel is a big (6’5″), tall, projectable right handed pitcher. He might be the best player in the 2020 draft class next June but it is incredibly difficult to predict pitchers this early on (10+ months away from the draft). His fastball topped out at 97 mph at the Perfect Game National in June and he also throws a plus slider that sits around 86 mph. He was the best performer among pitchers at the new PDP League this year. Mick Abel is the #1 ranked high school player in the 2020 draft class according to Perfect Game and Bleacher Report.

#5 JARED KELLEY, RHP, HS- TEXAS

PITCHER RANK: #1-NR-#1#3-#3

Jared Kelley is the prototypical hard throwing high school right handed pitcher from Texas. His fastball was clocked at 98 mph at the Perfect Game National in June. He is 6’2″, projectable, shows good control, and also throws a slider. Jared Kelley was named an All-American by Baseball America. He is considered the #1 high school pitcher in this year’s class according to Baseball America and ESPN.

#6 AUSTIN HENDRICK, OF, HS- PENNSYLVANIA

POSITION PLAYER RANK: #3-NR-NR-#2-#3

Austin Hendrick has a nice left handed swing that should allow him to hit for both power and average. He was one of the top 10 performers at the PDP League. Austin Hendrick is considered one of the top 5 high school players in this years draft class. He was ranked as a top 5 or better player by Baseball America, Perfect Game, and Fan Graphs.

#7 NATE SAVINO, LHP, HS- VIRGINIA

PITCHER RANK: NR-NR-NR-#2-#3

Nate Savino is a tall projectable left handed pitcher who has performed well at many big events. His fastball was clocked at 96 mph and he had plenty of movement on his pitches at the Perfect Game National. Savino was also one of the top 3 performers at the PDP League. He also had success at the Perfect Game Junior National event in 2018. Savino has shown the ability to perform well in big events consistently. He is considered as one of the top 3 high school pitchers in the 2020 draft according to both Perfect Game and Fan Graphs.

#8 JARED JONES, RHP, HS- CALIFORNIA 

BA #6  MLB (NR)  ESPN (NR) BR #8  PG #8

PITCHER RANK: #3-NR-NR-#4-#4

Jared Jones will be making his 2nd Under Armour All-America team as he was a participant at last year’s event. He is lean at 6’2″, 175 but offers plenty of projectability and he was up to 96 mph at the Perfect Game National in June. Jared was named to the All-American team by Baseball America, one of only 3 juniors to make the All-American team. 

He was also one of the better performers at the PDP League. He is considered one of the top 10 high school players for the 2020 draft class according to Baseball America, Bleacher Report, and Perfect Game. 

#9 ZAC VEEN, OF, HS- FLORIDA 

BA (NR) MLB (NR)  ESPN (NR) BR #2  FG #6

POSITION PLAYER RANK: NR-NR-NR-#1-#4

Zac Veen looks like the type of left handed hitter who can hit for power and average. He looks like he has tons of power and loft which could lead to him having plus power in the future. He is considered to be the #1 high school position player in the 2020 draft according to Bleacher Report and Fan Graphs has him as their #4 ranked position player.

#10 ROBERT HASSELL, OF, HS- TENNESSEE 

BA (NR) MLB (NR) ESPN (NR) PG (NR) FG#8

POSITION PLAYER RANK: NR-NR-NR-NR-#5

Robert Hassell was a Little League World Series star in 2014. He has a nice quick left handed swing that makes him a nice contact hitter and he can also pitch in the low to mid 90s with his fastball. He was the top performer at the PDP League after demonstrating the ability to hit and pitch at a high level against some of the best high school players in the country. He is the #8 ranked high school player in the 2020 draft according to Fan Graphs.

A.J. Vukovich, 1B/OF, HS- Wisconsin 

He had the 2nd best hitting performance among all players at the PDP League according to MLB Pipeline.

Drew Romo, C, HS- Texas

Romo is a switch hitting catcher who is considered a top 10 player for the 2020 draft according to Baseball America.

Enrique Bradfield, OF, HS- Florida

Bradfield is probably the fastest player in the 2020 draft class and he has shown he can hit as well. He was one of the top 5 hitters that stood out in the PDP League.

Timothy Manning, LHP, HS- Florida 

Manning is considered one of the top 5 high school pitchers in the 2020 class, and he is among the top 10 high school players in the class according to Baseball America.

Carson Montgomery, RHP, HS- Florida 

Carson Montgomery is considered to be one of the top 3 pitchers in the 2020 draft class according to both Bleacher Report (#2 P, #6 OVR) and Prospect Journal (#3 P, #7 OVR).

Dax Fulton, LHP, HS- North Carolina 

Dax Fulton is a tall (6’6″, 220), projectable left handed pitcher, Fan Graphs has him as the #5 ranked high school pitcher in the 2020 draft class.
