The Best Baseball players 25 and Younger

Acuna

MLB has become a young game in recent years, but some of the best players in the league are still in their thirties and forties. Here is a look at the best players in the league at each age (25 and below), with a lot of potential and promise. With the off-season in full swing, not much is going on but strings are being pulled and chips are being lined up, with any of these players possibly on the move. Nevertheless, bet-delaware.com has you covered for way too early predictions and numbers for the upcoming season.

The Best 20 year old: Luis Patiño, P, Padres

Patino, a top prospect in the Padres’ rich agricultural system, came to the team’s bullpen this season at the age of 20. His future probably lies in the starting rotation, where he has recorded an ERA under 3.00 in three seasons in the Minor Leagues.

21: Fernando Tatis Jr, SS, Padres

Tatis Jr. is quickly becoming one of the true faces of baseball. During his rookie season, he swiped 16 bags, but the real story was the shortstop’s OPS of .969 and batting average of .317 to go with 22 homers. He quickly became an NL MVP favorite. He finished 2020 as the fourth place finisher in the MVP voting, which is why he gets the nod over another 21-year-old, Juan Soto.

22: Ronald Acuña Jr, OF, Braves

Acuña is already in his third season in the Major Leagues, and has found his home as a superstar. He won the 2018 National League Rookie of the Year and a Silver Slugger in 2019, hitting .280-41-101 with 37 stolen bases, and this year he started off with another strong start before injuring his wrist.

23: Eloy Jiménez, OF, White Sox

Jimenez, a valuable prospect swapped around Chicago, between the Cubs and White Sox, finally made it to the majors in 2019, hitting .267 with 31 homers, and a n.828 OPS in 122 games. He had a very strong start to the 2020 season with eight home runs in 24 games.

24: Jack Flaherty, SP, Cardinals

Flaherty quickly became one of the best pitchers in the MLB, finishing fourth in the National Cy Young League in 2019 with an ERA of 2.75 and led the league with a WHIP of 0.97 in 33 starts. He finished fifth in the election for NL Rookie of the Year 2018, but did take a step back in 2020.

25: Cody Bellinger, OF, Dodgers

Bellinger’s career got off to a great start, he won the National League Rookie of the Year in 2017 and the MVP Award two years later. In 2019, he smoked the ball hitting .305 with 47 homers and an OPS over 1.000. He hit more than 100 home runs before his 25th birthday
