Who Ranks as the Number One in the HOF?

It’s not always easy ranking players in the Hall of Fame. After all, there are so many excellent players in Major League Baseball out there that the list is almost endless. However, after a lot of work, we have narrowed the list down to seven people. Before you hear about who has reached number one in the Hall of Fame, you can read about the other six players who are considered to be the very best out there.

You may not always agree with the order of the lineup. However, you are likely to agree that every one of these players has a well-deserved place on the list.

Number seven – Steve Tasker

Steve Tasker has to be at number seven in this list. To place him any lower than this would be an insult to his skills and to the NFL, seriously. Tasker seemed to have something of a second home at the Pro Bowl. This was thanks to the sheer amount of time he seemed to spend there. The player who was part of the Houston Oilers from 1985-1986 and the Buffalo Bills from 1986-1987 was an All-Pro practically all of the time. While some players have no doubt bettered some of Tasker’s achievements since then, he was known as being the very best for many years. This is something that really needs to be recognized.

Number six – Jared Allen

A lot of people will remember Allen for being the guy who was laughing when Dan Orlovsky did what he did in the back of the end zone. However, Jared Allen (Kansas City 2004-2007, Chicago Bears 2014-2015 and Carolina Panthers 2015) should be remembered for so much more than this. He should also be remembered for being a four-time, first team All-Pro. While he has not had as many All-Pro wins as other players, he still deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Don’t forget, Jared Allen led the NFL twice, plus he’s tied with four safeties, an NFL record that not everyone has.

Number five – Torry Holt

Holt was an incredible player who did so much for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2009 and the St. Louis Rams from 1999-2008. Torry does seem to be somewhat underappreciated, but not any more. He holds fifth position in the Hall of Fame, and quite rightly so. The more you watch Holt’s games, the more you will understand why he needs to be on this list.

Number four – Steve Smith Sr.

Steve Smith Sr. is ranked eighth of all time when it comes to receiving yards. This position places him ahead of Calvin Johnson, much to the surprise of many of Johnson’s fans. Smith worked hard for both the Carolina Panthers from 2013-2014, and then the Baltimore Ravens from 2014-2016. He deserves a place in the Hall of Fame thanks to his epic receiving yards.

Number three – DeMarcus Ware

DeMarcus Ware has earned second-team honors more than three times, as well as All-Pro four times. Not everyone has the ability to accomplish these feats. In addition to this, Ware has also managed to somehow lead the league in sacks – not once, but twice. If that was not enough, the amazing DeMarcus Ware also managed to be a key member of the much-loved Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 championship team. What a career DeMarcus Ware has had. It’s no wonder that he is in third position in the Hall of Fame.

Number two – Patrick Willis

Patrick Willis should have been placed in the Hall of Fame years ago. Playing for the San Francisco 49ers, Willis was 2007’s Defensive Rookie of the Year. In an astounding eight seasons, he was All-Pro five times, and this is something that not a lot of people achieve. Many people play for just three years and assume that Patrick Willis had done the same. Willis played for eight years and this needs to be remembered.

Number one – Devin Hester

Devin Hester is regarded as the best sportsman to play in his position. With this being the case, it is hard to put someone else at number one in the Hall of Fame. It’s the numbers that evidently speak for themselves, and these numbers show that Hester belongs in the top position.

It’s very likely that Hester would be a Super Bowl winner if it had not rained in Miami. Hester is something of a legend and should be in this position for many years to come.

As you can see, there are some amazing players in the Hall of Fame and according to WSN.com, the competition for the spots next year are quite close.  Who knows who will be added to it next season? Only time will tell.
